Kylie Cosmetics // Industry Analysis of Celebrity Cosmetics Brands

Group project with Reilly Folsom, Maddie Libbie, Arianna Sanders, Yasmin Nowzad
Deck Design by Me
This research deck is a small slice of a semester-long project where we did an in-depth analysis of the Celebrity Cosmetic Brand industry. In the first half of this deck, we analyze Kylie Cosmetics as a brand, as well as its top competitors: Rare Beauty and Fenty Beauty. We also look into each brands’ market positioning and an analysis of their current PR campaigns and consumers. In the latter half, separated by a new title slide: “Celebrity Beauty Brands,” where beyond this point we conducted our own consumer research and made recommendations for Kylie Cosmetics as a brand to stay competitive against Fenty and Rare.

This project was completed for my internship as a Brand Partnerships and Influencer Relations Intern at Quest Nutrition.

The Problem: Quest Nutrition maintains an influencer group, known as the “Quest Squad,” of roughly 7,000 members. With that many members, influencer management and engagement are recurring issues.
The Ask: Research companies’ utilization of influencer programs in adjacent industries to Quest and distill key insights and strategies that could be applied to Quest’s Influencer Program, also known as the “Quest Squad.”
